Panels

Artists often use panels to build their tables up for more visibility and to fit more products on the tables at cons and events.These panels are called "grid cubes" or "cube organisers" and are held together in your desired configuration by plastic connectors.The panels come in two types - lightweight pvc/plastic panels or metal grid panels. The plastic ones are good for sticking things directly to and the grid ones are handy if you need to hang things with hooks.These come in a variety of colours as well as black and white so you may need to shop around to find which ones suit your brand best!

Table Cloths

A great way to jazz your table up to match your vibe is with a pretty table cloth in colours that link to your branding or that compliment your work!You don't have to splash the cash for this one. I personally use a flat bedding sheet but you can even make one with some fabric from your local craft store or check your local charity shop/thrift store for a nice second hand one.You can also have custom table cloths or fabric printed with some manufacturers if you have something very specific in mind and have room in your budget.

Table Runners & Banners

It's important to let people know who you are and a good way to do that is with a banner displaying your logo or your name!It doesn't have to be expensive. A simple hand lettered sign in an easy to see space is perfectly acceptable. You can even make them with some felt or fabric matching your table cloth!You can also have custom table runner or fabric banner printed if you have the budget available!

Handy Extras

Here is some extra things that are helpful to have on hand when designing and building your setup. You don't need to get all of these things but I've personally found some of these things useful.

Fixatives

BluTack
Handy for sticking labels to products or adding prices to your set up!Velcro Pads
I personally use these to stick my badges to my set up. They're quite strong and they make a loud noise when pulled off the plastic panels so a good theft deterrent.Adhesive Hooks
Great for hanging charms and other products from. A tip is to add a small dot of superglue/hotglue to try and deter sticky fingers.Zip Ties
The humble ziptie has saved my skin many times during cons. Great for securing products to display boards but also as extra security on the corners and when joining panels at angles that the usual connectors won't allow.

Money Handling

Card Machine
A must have for any event these days. A lot of people prefer to use their cards to pay for products as they may not carry cash. Square and SumUp are two popular brands and can be purchased online or in local tech stores.Lockable Cash Box
A cashbox that can lock and be transported with you after your event closes for the evening can be helpful to have at your table. Make sure not to leave this unattended and have it behind your table in an inconspicuous spot to deter theft.Bum/Crossbody Bag
Some people prefer to keep their cash on their person at all times. You can buy various bags with pockets for cash that go around your waist or across your chest.
